What if everyone worked together?
That question led to the creation of RDU for FAMs in 2023, a regional collaborative focused on bringing together churches, nonprofits, government agencies, businesses, and community leaders throughout the Raleigh-Durham area.
As partnerships continued to grow, it became clear that the need extended far beyond one region. In 2026, NC for FAMs was established as a statewide nonprofit to strengthen collaboration locally and across North Carolina.
Today, our network includes churches, child welfare agencies, nonprofit organizations, businesses, foster and adoptive families, biological families, volunteers, and community leaders working together toward a shared goal: to unify communities, strengthen families, and transform foster care.
Our Mission
NC for FAMs exists to ignite collaboration between nonprofits, churches and child welfare agencies to create unity in solving the foster care crisis in North Carolina.
We long for a North Carolina transformed by healthy local collaboration-where biological families are strengthened, foster and adoptive families are supported, and every child experiences hope, dignity, and belonging.
